Last updated: August 11, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By making a reservation at Pierre Part Cajun Retreat (“we,” “us,” “our”), you (“guest,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all bookings made directly through our website, by phone, or through any third-party booking platform. Please read them carefully before completing your reservation.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not complete a booking. By submitting a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms on behalf of yourself and all members of your party.

2. Booking & Payment

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 25 years of age to make a reservation. The person making the reservation is considered the primary guest and is responsible for the conduct of all guests in their party throughout the stay. The primary guest must be present at check-in.

2.2 Reservation Confirmation

A reservation is not confirmed until payment (or required deposit) has been received and you receive a confirmation email from us. Until that confirmation is issued, dates remain available for other guests.

2.3 Payment

We accept payment by major credit and debit card and through PayPal (including Venmo where available). Depending on the booking, you may be required to pay either the full amount at the time of reservation or a deposit with the balance due before check-in. Payment terms are disclosed at the time of booking. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

2.4 Balance Payments

If a deposit was paid at booking, the remaining balance is due by the date specified in your booking confirmation, typically several weeks before check-in. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your reservation without refund of the deposit.

2.5 Taxes and Fees

All applicable taxes, cleaning fees, and any other fees will be itemized in your booking summary and charged at the time of payment.

3. Cancellation & Refunds

3.1 Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy varies by booking date and is clearly displayed at the time of booking and in your confirmation email. In general:

  • Cancellations made well in advance of your check-in date may qualify for a full or partial refund
  • Cancellations made closer to your check-in date may qualify for a reduced refund or no refund
  • Non-refundable rates do not qualify for any refund regardless of timing

The specific terms applicable to your booking are stated on the booking confirmation page and in your confirmation email.

3.2 How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, please log into your guest account or use the cancellation link provided in your confirmation email. You may also contact us directly. Cancellations take effect immediately upon submission.

3.3 Refund Processing

Any refund due under the applicable cancellation policy is calculated based on the date your cancellation is received. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and are typically processed within 3–5 business days of cancellation. Refund amounts are determined by the cancellation policy in effect for your booking, as disclosed at the time of reservation.

3.4 No-Shows

Failure to arrive on your scheduled check-in date without prior notice will be treated as a no-show. No-show bookings forfeit the full amount paid and are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.

3.5 Cancellations by Pierre Part Cajun Retreat

In rare cases, we may need to cancel a reservation due to circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, property damage, emergency repairs, etc.). In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and issue a full refund of all amounts paid. We are not liable for any incidental costs incurred (travel, alternate lodging, etc.).

4. Check-in and Check-out

4.1 Standard Times

  • Check-in: 4:00 PM CT
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM CT

4.2 Check-in Process

Check-in is self-service via a secure door code. Your unique code and detailed arrival instructions will be sent to you by email shortly before your arrival date. Please do not share your code with anyone outside your booking party.

4.3 Early Check-in / Late Check-out

Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and confirmation from us. Please contact us at least 48 hours before your arrival to request. Unauthorized early arrival or late departure may result in additional charges.

4.4 Late Arrival

If you anticipate arriving outside of normal hours, please notify us in advance. Your door code will remain active throughout your stay.

5. House Rules

To ensure all guests enjoy their stay and to protect the property, the following rules apply at all Pierre Part Cajun Retreat cabins:

5.1 Occupancy

The maximum occupancy stated for each cabin must be strictly observed. Exceeding maximum occupancy without prior written permission is grounds for immediate eviction without refund. Maximum occupancy includes all overnight guests including children.

5.2 No Smoking

Smoking, vaping, and use of e-cigarettes is strictly prohibited inside all cabins. Smoking is permitted outdoors only, and all cigarette butts and related materials must be disposed of properly. Evidence of indoor smoking will result in a deep-cleaning fee of $250 and may result in additional charges for damage to furnishings or linens.

5.3 Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM CT. Please be respectful of neighbors and other guests during this time.

5.4 Pets

Up to one (1) dog is permitted with prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $25 per dog per stay. Pets must be disclosed at the time of booking. Other pets (cats, exotic animals, etc.) are not permitted without specific advance approval. Guests are fully responsible for any damage or disturbance caused by their pets.

5.5 Events and Gatherings

Parties, events, and large gatherings are not permitted. This includes, without limitation, bachelor and bachelorette parties, family reunions, and any similar celebration or gathering. Only the guests registered on the reservation may occupy the property, and the total number of people present at any time — including any daytime visitors — may not exceed the maximum occupancy stated for the property.
Limited daytime visitors may be allowed only with the owner’s prior written permission, and only where they do not cause the property to exceed its maximum occupancy. Hosting any unauthorized event or gathering, or allowing the property to exceed its registered guest count or maximum occupancy, is grounds for immediate eviction without refund and may incur additional cleaning, damage, and disturbance fees.

5.6 General Conduct

Guests are expected to treat the property and its contents with respect and to be considerate of neighbors and other guests. Illegal activity of any kind is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate eviction and notification of law enforcement.

6. Damages, Cleaning, and Property Care

6.1 Cleaning Fee

A standard cleaning fee is included in your booking total. This covers normal cleaning between stays.

6.2 Excessive Cleaning

Excessive cleaning required due to guest behavior — including but not limited to indoor smoking, pet accidents, unreasonable mess, or the removal of stains beyond normal wear — will incur additional cleaning charges. Such charges will be assessed after departure and invoiced to the guest, with supporting documentation where applicable. Invoiced amounts are due within fourteen (14) days of the invoice date.

6.3 Damages

Guests are financially responsible for any loss of or damage to the property, furnishings, or contents that occurs during their stay, whether caused by the guest, members of their party, or invitees, up to and including the full cost of repair or replacement. Any such loss or damage will be assessed after departure and invoiced to the guest, together with supporting documentation where applicable. By making a reservation, you agree to pay all validly assessed cleaning and damage charges, and any invoiced amount is due within fourteen (14) days of the invoice date. We may issue the invoice as a payment request to the PayPal account or a payment link to the card used for the booking, or by another method we accept. Amounts not paid when due may be referred for collection or pursued through available legal remedies, and you may be responsible for reasonable costs of collection.

6.4 Lost Items

Items left behind after check-out can be returned at the guest’s expense (shipping and handling). We are not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged during your stay. Unclaimed items will be held for 14 days, after which they will be donated or discarded.

6.5 Reporting Issues

If you notice damage or issues upon arrival, please notify us within 4 hours of check-in. Issues reported after this window may be considered the responsibility of the current guest.

7. Assumption of Risk

Pierre Part Cajun Retreat’s cabins are located near the waterfront of Pierre Part Bay in a natural bayou environment. Guests acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with this location, including but not limited to:

  • Proximity to water, including risks of drowning, slips, falls, and watercraft accidents
  • Wildlife encounters including alligators, snakes, insects, and other native species
  • Weather-related risks including storms, flooding, and lightning
  • Outdoor terrain including uneven surfaces, docks, and natural hazards
  • Activities undertaken by guests such as fishing, boating, swimming, and walking trails

Guests participate in any and all activities on or near the property at their own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, especially near water. Pierre Part Cajun Retreat LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not responsible for personal injury, illness, or death sustained by guests or their party during their stay.

8. Liability and Indemnification

8.1 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pierre Part Cajun Retreat LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your stay, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of enjoyment, or expenses for alternate accommodation.

8.2 Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to your booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the stay in question.

8.3 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pierre Part Cajun Retreat LLC and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your stay, your conduct, the conduct of members of your party, or any breach of these terms.

9. Right to Refuse Service / Evict

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a stay at any time if guests:

  • Violate any of these terms
  • Disturb other guests or neighbors
  • Cause damage to the property
  • Engage in illegal activity
  • Misrepresent the size or nature of their party
  • Behave in a manner that, in our sole discretion, is unsafe or unacceptable

In the event of eviction, no refund will be provided, and the guest forfeits any remaining nights of their stay.

10. Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process (name, contact details, payment information, etc.) is used solely for the purpose of managing your reservation, communicating with you about your stay, and complying with legal obligations. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to process your booking and payment, or as required by law.

For more information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government actions, public health emergencies, utility outages, internet or technology failures, or acts of war or terrorism.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or your stay shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Assumption Parish, Louisiana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We encourage guests to contact us directly to resolve any concerns before pursuing formal action. Most issues can be addressed through open communication.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Modifications take effect when posted on our website. The terms in effect at the time of your booking apply to your stay.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
