PRIVACY POLICY

Pierre Part Cajun Retreat LLC

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Pierre Part Cajun Retreat LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or make a reservation, how we use and protect that information, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It works alongside our Terms and Conditions.

By using our website or making a reservation, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or booking services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following ways.

1.1 Information you provide to us

When you make a reservation, create a guest account, or contact us, you may provide:

  • Identity and contact details — your name, postal address, email address, and telephone number.
  • Booking details — the property, dates, the number of guests in your party, pet information, special requests, and any other information you submit during booking.
  • Account information — if you create a guest account, a username and password.
  • Communications — the content of emails, messages, or other correspondence you send us.

1.2 Payment information

Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers (for example, our card processor and PayPal, including Venmo where available). Your full card number and financial account credentials are entered directly with the payment provider and are not stored on our systems. We retain only limited transaction information — such as the card type and the last four digits, or a PayPal transaction reference, along with the amount and date — so we can identify your payment, process any refunds, and keep accurate records.

1.3 Information we collect automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

1.4 Information from third parties

If you book through a third-party platform (such as Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com), that platform may share reservation and contact information with us so we can fulfill your booking. Information you provide to those platforms is also governed by their own privacy policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and manage your reservation, including confirming bookings, sending door codes and arrival instructions, and processing payments, deposits, balances, and refunds;
  • Communicate with you about your booking, respond to your inquiries, and provide customer support;
  • Assess and invoice any additional charges permitted under our Terms and Conditions, such as excessive cleaning or damage;
  • Maintain our business records and comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations;
  • Protect our property and guests, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms and Conditions;
  • Where you have opted in, send you marketing communications about our property and offers (you may opt out at any time — see Section 6).

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — with companies that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, email and communications providers, and website hosting and technology providers. These providers may access personal information only to perform their services for us.
  • Booking platforms — where you book through a third-party platform, as needed to administer that reservation.
  • Legal and safety — when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, our business, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of our business or assets, subject to the continued protection of your information.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and improve your experience. Some cookies are necessary for the website and booking system to function; others help us analyze traffic. You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies, but parts of the website or booking process may not function properly as a result. Where our website displays maps or other embedded content, those third-party services may set their own cookies.

5. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — including completing your stay, processing payments and any related charges or refunds, and maintaining records required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete it or to anonymize it so that it can no longer be associated with you.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You have choices about your personal information:

  • Access and correction — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Deletion — you may ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we are required or permitted to keep (for example, completed-booking and payment records needed for tax and accounting).
  • Marketing opt-out — you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send you transactional messages about your reservation.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising your rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before we respond.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Sensitive payment card details are handled directly by our payment providers using industry-standard security. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website and booking services are intended for adults; you must be at least 25 years old to make a reservation. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website. Any information about minors who are part of a booking party is provided to us by the adult making the reservation. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through our website, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may contain links to, or embedded content from, third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the current version on our website. Changes are effective when posted. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
